Dental emergency? Call or text.
We reserve time every day for people in pain. You don't need to be our patient already.
We're open now. Call and we'll find you a time today.
We're closed right now. Leave a message or send a text. Messages are returned the morning of the next business day, starting at 8 AM.
Come in today if you have
- swelling in your face or jaw,
- a fever along with tooth pain,
- pain that woke you up, or
- pain that won't settle.
Swelling plus pain is the combination that means don't wait.
Go to the emergency room if swelling is spreading toward your eye or down your neck, or if you have trouble swallowing or breathing.
It can usually wait until we can see you if
- a tooth is sensitive to cold or sweet but settles in a few seconds, or
- you've chipped something and it doesn't hurt.
Still call, and we'll find you a time. Don't wait to see if pain goes away on its own: pain that stops by itself often means the nerve has died, not that the problem has gone.
What happens when you call
We can't diagnose a toothache over the phone, and we won't try. We'll ask a few questions and get you in. Your visit starts with an exam focused on the problem that made you call. First we listen, then we take whatever x-rays the doctor needs to find out what's wrong, and then we talk through your options.
You'll leave with a plan or a solution for the problem that brought you in. Most dental problems, including extractions, are treated right here in our office, so you usually won't need to go anywhere else.
New to us? If you can, fill out the forms before you come. Even for a single sore tooth, your health history and any earlier work change what's safe to do.
